The cost of farmland in Scotland hit an archive saturated in initial 1 / 2 of 2013, according to study by surveyors.

Mark Mitchell, of Bell Ingram in Perth, stated: "The Scottish farmland market has actually remained powerful, regardless of the bad harvest of 2012 and belated spring of 2013.

"Quality facilities in great areas will still sell quickly and really, bare land continues to be probably the most desirable product."

The study in addition reported a slight rise in land being wear the marketplace.

RICS Scotland manager Sarah Speirs stated: "the development in farmland prices recently has-been nothing lacking staggering."

She included that in less than a decade the price of farmland had cultivated to such an extent that people, also farmers, were entering the market.

"And, if commodity costs still boost and hold need large, we may really see further increases, " she stated.
